About the Wisconsin Cable Communications Association Print
Saturday, 25 February 2006

The Wisconsin Cable Communications Association, WCCA, is the trade association of the cable television industry in Wisconsin. Founded in 1968, WCCA continues to provide a strong, unified voice on issues affecting the cable and telecommunications industry at the local, state and federal levels.

WCCA represents Wisconsin cable systems operating in over 1000 franchise areas, serving millions of homes and businesses throughout the state. Associate membership is comprised of cable program networks, equipment suppliers and providers of services with a bona fide interest in the cable industry.

WCCA maintains an office in downtown Madison, Wisconsin, across the street from the state’s Capitol. One of the many services the office provides is individual assistance to cable television systems in dealing with government relation issues.

WCCA hosts an Annual Convention and Trade Show offering a forum for the discussion of current issues and trends within the industry. Sessions provide information on the newest innovative services, technology and laws.

WCCA produces a quarterly newsletter entitled ”Through Channels” which keeps members abreast of the very latest events, information and legislation concerning our growing industry.

WCCA provides an annual desk reference Cable Guide to members. A comprehensive listing of state member Cable Systems, Associate Members, and the Wisconsin State Legislature, as well as Wisconsin laws relating to cable television are found in this publication.
